In communication with Gen Howard lately, I was directed by him to adress you on the subject of employment in your department.  He also sent me a list of places to select from as to the locallity I would prefer.  I have selected yours.  He advises me to take charge of a School or schools or in his own words "be at the head of one or superintend several schools or engage in any Service connected with [[strike out]]your[[/strike out]]the department  He would have employed me immediately had my health or circumstances admitted of such labor as he required forth with.  I am a Clergyman by profession and served in the Army as Chaplain
