Dear Sir,

Your letter of inquiry concerning our proposed work in Virginia was duly received. I should have been replied to sooner, but an ignorance of how much we shall be able to attempt has prevented us from giving as definite a reply as we could desire. Nor is the doubt entirely removed yet - the best - and ever I can give is as follows.
1. We propose to occupy the whole
