NEW YORK BRANCH
FREEDMANS UNION COMMISSION,
No. 76 John Street.

New York, Feby. 8th. 1867

Rev. R. M. Manly,
Supt. &c. Richmond Va.,

Dear Sir:- Yrs. of the 6th. inst. is before me. Mr McKim being in Chicago, I have no opportunity of obtaining an explanation of his remarks on the Normal School Building; but, although no formal adoption of the institution has been resolved upon by this Branch, I feel confident that this will be unanimously agreed upon by the gentlemen of the Teachers' Committee, and the Board of Trustees, when the matter is brought before them. After next Monday I shall be able to speak with full authority.

Yrs. Cordially,
Crammond Kennedy
Cor. Sec.
