tell them I belonged to a party of 14 who were going to  climb to the top & that Jefe Politico of Huamantla  was one of the party. The rancho here consists of several huts in which are several families. The huts are made of adobe part of them the rest of stakes set in the ground thatched with straw. The adobes are covered with shakes. I am lodged on a large adobe with a damp mud floor. These huts most of them face a square open yard & have but one opening from the yard.
