Sir,
I have the honor to inform you that when I went to Dinwiddie C.H. I was entrusted with $ 100. to build a school-house for the freedmen. I had just completed it when I was relieved. Said house is built of hewn logs, is 32 x 22 ft in dimensions, has three good and large windows with shutters, a good door with a strong lock, seats for fifty scholars, one writing desk sixteen feet long, and a good desk for a teacher.
