We the under siners doe here by umbelle request of you to asist us the sitersons of Catawba Co in regard to a school we have a house bilt & under wife & we are not able to becuse it for the winter & with the assistions of one hundred dollars; we can house a Comfortable Church & all since School house there can be a School here of fifty Scolers or more the hasent bin a School in this neighborhood sints the surrender & there is one needid badly the Children is growing up in their ignrance as much for us & therefore we ar rely destitute of a School & i do here by oblegate my self to teach & hold my self if the goverment will furniche the fines to pay for teachers for the ar not able to pay them selves at this time forwards their present condishtion here it is a much as the can doe to make a living i truly hope you will anser this in bekase of our loe condishtion yours truly in forme Col
