Sir I have been adjured by Major Mass to write to you concerning a colonel school I would be ver glad if you could give me a situation as teachers of my circumstance is a very limited one I have no means of support but by my own hands my father is a very old man and not liable to help himself I taught school last year eight months it was a colored school I got on with it ver well my schollars learned very fast though I never have not goten my pay yet thay say that thay are not able to let me have my pay if you could give me a place you would do me a great favour for I am not Able to get my living by hand work I will gain us 2 or 3 teacher wich ever you may think me most capable of if you can take me in as teacher I should like to know if you could give me a situation on a home in Fluvanna and Louisa as we
