Our Association, as thou art perhaps aware, have arranged, as usual, to end the present session on the first of July when all their teachers will proceed home, and return again at the end of September. We are looking to return to this point if we are spared. Our association wish, as soon as the burial corps leave, to have possession of their building again entirely; and they will feel obliged by the authorities in Richmond requesting Col. Carse to deliver them up to us again. They have determined on making Danville School a normal one, so that the whole building will be required.

I thought it best to inform thee of our movements, and the cause of our entirely suspending the night school, and the day school for the present, knowing that Col Carse is anxious for another opportunity to annoy us; and threatens to force the carrying on of the school. I shall
