Bureau R. F. & A. L.
Office Sup. Education
Richmond Va May 29 1867

Respectfully returned to Gen. O. Brown with the request that this paper may be referred to Cap. J. A. McDonnell for information. Cap. McD's schools report for April does not show any school at Harrisonburg; his endorsement dated May 14, on Mr Williams previous communication speaks of the school at Harrisonburg as held in a church belonging to the colored people and disapproves Mr. Williams request; Lt. Hall's endorsement of May 11 speaks of the school as increasingly prosperous. The enclosed letter
states that the school furniture furnished by the Bureau is exposed to the weather for lack of shelter. What is the present status of school interests at Harrisonburg, and what is recommended?
