In reply to your inquiries addressed to the Corresponding Secretary of the "Penna. Branch of the Freedman's Commission of the Protestant Episcopal Church", "I would state that we now support three teachers in Norfolk, one at Portsmouth, two at Petersburg, two at Deep Creek, & [[strikethrough]] two [[/strikethrough]] one at Lindsay's Farm, near Norfolk. We propose to retain all these, in the coming year, & also to station two or three teachers at Taylor's farm, near Norfolk, one at Mill Creek (Norfolk Co.) two at City Point, near Petersburg, & two or three in Charlottesville or vicinity.
