If you can assist me I shall esteem it a special favor - as I do not presume there is a more important point in this district, where the claims are greater upon us, for the establishment of a good school for freedmen. In reference to this matter I would respectfully refer you to the letter of Mr Caroline Ely (708 Walnut Street Philada.") Cor. Sec. of the Prod. Episcopal Freedmen Com. dated May 1st 1867- transmited to you in my communication of May 11th. You will see by reference, that there is a possibility of securing a teacher for this station, from that association- as they gave us to expect, that if this place was not filled before autumn, a teacher would then be supplied. I submit this case specially for your co-operation. Me Neck Creek School, although it might be greatly improved, under an intelligent and judicions teacher, yet there are two other stations, of much greater importance in this division, which demand our earliest attention, in supplying them with good schools and faithful teachers. The first is Blacksberg, Montgomery County, where there are between the ages of six and twenty one, at least fifty colored youth-outside of the town and within one mile there are fifteen-two mile thirty five- three miles, thirty-four mile, twenty eight.
