My dear Sir
The subject of Books is under consideration, and we wish to know from you whether the series of Readers (Hillards) which have been supplied by us to the schools in Virginia heretofore is acceptable to your - and to the teachers so far as you have knowledge. We propose to continue the same Series - unless serious objection arises. But we are seeking to act in concert with other societies - so as to ensure the uniformity so desirable.
