if the national affiliation for an agricultural College for Virginia could be made available for such an institution there can be little doubt that the institution, as an Agricultural College, would be of great value to the state. If thus [[strikethrough]] [[illegible]] [[/strikethrough]] organized, rather to develop an intelligent industry than to educate teachers, if sufficiently endowed,  its proximity to Richmond + Hampton might be no objection.

While these difficulties + questions are raised in respect to details, the Association feels a wave interest in the general plan proposed, and if the money could be appropriated to a Normal School, + they could be satisfied this was the best location for it, or if another location could be agreed upon, not liable to other objectives suggested, or if a sufficient association could be secured to make it wise + safe to undertake an agricultural school on the plan proposed, I feel confident they would refuel it as currency in within
