My Dear Sir - 
We should be only to glad to occupy the vacant field at Richmond were it possible, and had we known the circumstances earlier, might have done so, at least in part. 
But as it is I do not see that we can do anything more at present. 
We have appointed all the teachers our means or prospects will at present permit, and they have gone to their work. 
I have written Mr Hawkins also but we have as many agents in New England as can be profitably employed.
Please state the facts for me to Gen Brown.
