Im going over some "Band of Hope Reviews" sent me from England, I took out one of each kind for thee. I have sent them by Express & hope they will reach thee safely- Some of the wood engravings I think splendid. Thou[[?]] art no doubt aware that Dr Eggert has left Danville, and we have got possession of the Lodging room  which he occupied, which makes us very comfortable. Will thou give our respects to General Brown and say we obliged to him for this privilege. We found the School building left in a very dilapidated state by the Burial Corps. Major Johnson had given away all the sash [[?]] in the upper room and allowed any one who wished to take boards from the partitions and ceilings up stairs. Capt. Mahony, Superintendent of Bureau, heard of it and got what he could
