brought back, but the upper part of the building is sadly destroyed. As we do not require that part of the building. we have boarded up the windows, repaired the roof and put in all the glass taken out and broken. We have taken a third room for our normal class, fit it up with new desks and benches, and replaced nearly all the old ones in the body of the school with new ones. I trust we shall now be allowed to pursue our duties without further molestation. Mr. Maboury leaves favorable to our work. Our school is progressing rapidly in their studies, and our members keep up as thou will find from the monthly report. 
Should thou ever feel inclined to come this way and pay us a visit, we will be glad to see thee. If I have a few days notice I should endeavour to be at home. I have now 16 schools under my care in N.C. which keep me nearly fully employed with kind regards united by my wife believe me my sincere friend Geo. Dison
