Menoken School House, Richmond County Virginia November 1st 1867. Lieut Henry K. W. Ayres, Ass't. Sub-Ass't Com'r. &c Warsaw, Richmond Co. Va., Lieutenant: We the undersigned Colored people residing in the vicinity of "Menoken Church," County of Richmond, Va., beg leave to inform you that our School House, is now ready for a teacher.
