Dear Sir,
Your coupons were sold at 39 7/8 and netted, as you see by the check, herewith - $62.50
You will be surprised to see that these are two errors in your statement of a/c. First you make 5/8 of 225.90 $151.18 whilst I make a it 141.18
Next you make 2 tin pans 956 curtains 1.50 freight on books 2.90 amt to 6.35, whilst I get it down to 5.35
Your whole bill amount to balance 158.90
from which deduct as above 11
amount of the larger check 147.90
Less bill for Tea 6 98
                                 $140 92

Lest I might make another error I send back your transcript for correction in your own hand.
How the books were over-looked I cannot tell, but intend to send you copies with this on tomorrow.

I should like to know whether the Tea suited. I want to buy a half chest or two for my own use, and that of another family.

In haste yours
E. C. Estes
