Education Desires add'nl information in regard to the application made by Mr. Brackett for assistance in building a school house at Winchester rec'd Dec 26th 1867. 9th S.D. Va. Bureau R.F.& A.L. Head Qrs. 9th Sub Dist. Va Winchester VA. January 6 1867 Respectfully returned To Rev. R.M. Manly. Supt Education with the following information. The freedmen will furnish the land on which the house is to be built. The title will be in Trustees for the benefit of the colored people - It is proposed to build a house about 40x60. of wood, two story, and able to accommodate 300 pupils.
