Mr. Washburn Esquire
Dear Sir
We the undersigned beg respectfully to ask your aid in getting Miss Alice Marion Swan as teacher for a primary school wich we pray to be able to start at once. Mr. [[?]] Swan has given us a large room wich is Detached from his house the size of it is,30^feet long, by 18 feet, he promise as make it suitable and comfortable to hold 50 Children providing we could pay the for the services of his Daughter to teach. She to teach [[strikethrough]] ? [[/strikethrough]] a primary school we believing that the young Lady is fully competent[[ no period noted]] We therefor most respectfully Beg ask your assistance in the above [[?]] as we are not able to pay for the tuition of our family if you could accomplish the above you will confer a everlasting Blessing upon us and our family.
