Sir.

I will now endeavor to write you again, giving you some information about not opening the school that I wrote you about. It is because I had a nother one in view in the county a bout eight miles from this place. I have been waiting to receive further information from my friends about General Wickham's agreement to give them a piece of ground, and timber to put up the school building. I now ask you with the request of my friends if you will aid us in puting the Building up: as the General is willing to furnish the Ground and Timber.  I hope you will be kind enough to assist us also.  There is a-bout One Hundred & Fifty growing up almost ignorant; and I think it will be much more proftable for me to try to instruct them; as they are so willing to learn.  I think every body that will endeavor to get an edication ought to be incourage? for how dreadful to grow up in ignorance and I feel it my duty to Teach them. and a nother reason I have for not Teaching the people here are so unwilling to pay.  I have been Teaching here in this place fore more than Two years and have not succeeded in receiving
