Mr. Mauly

Dear Sir,
Do you know of some healthy location, high, where it would be safe to stay in the summer, - neighborhood of Charlottesville or Warrenton preferred, - where a lady who wishes to each the freedmen can start a new school? She prefers new scholars, with whom she can carry out her own methods. She is an elderly lady, who has had great experience in teaching, & is highly recommended to us by persons we know. She goes without salary, & is commissioned by us. We should of course expect the people to furnish a school house, fuel, &c. for her.
