Mr. R.M. Manly;-

Dear Sir;-
You will recollect that you informed the colored people here in a public meeting that it would be necessary that this building should be removed prior to July 16, to prevent it from being claimed by the owners of the land upon which it stands. In front it stands directly upon the land. The back paid is on stakes.
We have raised $200.00 mostly ourselves by a series of exhibitions, etc. (not more than $10.00 of the money pledged the evening you were with us has been collected)-
