General:
I return herewith the papers in the case of Allen vs. Bonham which you yesterday requested me to examine.
I have carefully examined them and the Records of the Bureau, and find the farm in question has never been held as "Abandoned property" nor has it been turned over to this Office by any Treasury Agent as such. In short there is here no record whatsoever of the case.
I am General, very respectfully,
Your obt. servt.
