Comm'r directs that you forward to this office without delay the names of all Clerks, Messengers and employees whom you wish to retain in place after the 31st inst. in order that the others may be discharged, in accordance with instructions of the Commissioner, dated Washington D. C. Septbr 29th 1868 and modified by his letter dated Washington, D. C. Octbr 8th 1868. Enclosed herewith are copies of letters referred to, marked "A" and "B."

Regulations, 1863, and to direct you to forward hereafter to this Office, a daily Morning Report of the sick under your official charge; and, also, that in the first report, you will state the presence of all the sick, as will of all the attendants and employees on duty in the Hospital
