In the expectation of Mr. Whipple's return to day from his journey to the West, I have left your letter of

But a letter received from him today, saying that he will not be back for a few days longer, impels me to answer your favor, so for at least as to thank you for the information, to express our joy at the opening for teachers, and to promise to meet the call.
