Dear Sir, 
Your letter of the 12th inst was forwarded to me while out of town, and should have been answered sooner, but for a slight illness which called for quiet and rest. 
The withdrawal of the promised half of the support of our teachers for Richmond must of course make a very material difference in our ability to send them, as we have devoted the summer months to raising funds for the new season through our agents, and we have extended the arrangement to as many person as we felt it safe to engage. For your seven we supposed we had provided entirely. We shall still try to send them. Please let me know how much
