LYMAN ABBOTT, Gen. Sec.
J.M. McKIM, Cor. Sec.
New York, Sept 17. 1868

My dear Mr Manly,
I have just seen Miss J. Lynch. She and Miss Hancock both expect to return to Richmond. But I have heard from Miss Lynch that it is desirable to have a door cut from her school room to the entry which she believed you approved. May I ask you to have it done as soon as may be, before they arrive & wish to open school.

Respectfully
Ellen Collins
