room in Dungies House. but I suppose you will think with me that it would neither be good policy or pleasant for her to have even a separate room in a colored mans house. the pleasure of living in a pleasant northern family it seems to me would more than compensate for the inconvenience of walk five days in the week of a mile or even a mile & three fourths in good weather. The building is not much to my surprise fit for winter use although Dungies Daughter has kept a small school in it. I have been so busy that I have not been there untill this time for some time. I find they need more money & on my own responsibility I employed & set at work while there carpenters & plasterers & sent for stove & pipe - I shall make application for $50.00 to cover any expenditures. This will make the govt pay abt one half less $25.00 for the building. The building will be fit for a lady to teach in the 8th of October. I am sorry but have done the best I
