I am mortified and troubled that the Misses Birge & Chase have not appeared.  They promised to be here on Tuesday last, and it is not five minutes since I read a letter from Miss Chase who is as eager to be off as I am to send her, & who says that her friend will not be ready to leave till Tuesday of next week.
