Mr Manley,

Dear Sir: 
I am happy to inform you I have commenced the school.  It numbers forty five and is in a flourishing condition.
I first met them on Sunday and formed a Sabbath School, which gives promise of being a very good one.  We are getting on very well so far and I will do all I can to make the school interesting.  We hope soon to have black boards and desks, up.  I find some very intelligent boys and girls; and anticipate a happy, and profitable time among this winter.
I found 1 or 2 books, kindly given by Mr Goodyear, for which we owe him many thanks.  I received the bundle of cards for beginners at Tunstall's. I thank you very much, and will make good use of them. If ever you have a spare day,
