Dear Sir,
When Mrs. Cheney was here I invited Mr. Abell an excellent man, who has manifested considerable interest in our Schools, and who is himself a Superintendent of a colored Sabbath School, to visit her. He did so and she asked him if he would  be willing to act as one of Trustees of the Normal School here. He signified his willingness to do so. He is a man of some influence, being Cashier of the Charlottesville Bank and a very popular
