Rev R. M. Manly

Dear Sir

In response to a letter to Mr Dow you gave encouragement you could "help" our School Teachers "effectively." They have been commissioned by Societies according to your suggestion but without pay. We are anxious to ascertain what you can do for them. We have heard nothing from the Bureau Agent stationed here.

We have three very interesting Schools conducted by Teachers of zeal & efficiency who do not receive a penny of compensation except a small pittance received by Mrs Foster. Another School house is nearly complete which we hope to have in operation soon

We trust you will be able to make allowance for the past few months. I shall be pleased to hear from you at your earliest convenience

Very respectfully yours
E Nash
