Ashland, Va. Jany 12th /69
Rev R.M. Manly, Supt &c

My Dear Sir
William P. Brown, col'd, the teacher at Old Church, writes me that he is about to begin his next session at that place and is in need of 12 primary authorities which he asks me to furnish, sending the same to him by mail. As he is a useful teacher, I refer the application to you hoping that it may be in your power to supply the want. A package addressed to the above named of Old Church would be received. As the postage would be considerable, if sent by mail, it would probably be desirable to forward by some other means.

Very Truly
Your 'os
Fra Ayers
