Charlotte C.H. Va. Jan'y 16, 1869, Rev. R. M. Manly, J.W. Cromwell.
Sir,
You well please furnish me with a dozen Teachers and a half a dozen Superintendents' blanks. I have recently entered upon the work of establishing schools for freedmen in the counties bordering on the line of the Richmond and the Danville Railroad - under the auspice of the Friend Freedmen Appreciation of Philadelphia. You will please inform me what aid. Govt, if any, renders towards building schools for freedmen, also how to get sent paid for buildings used as school.
