Dear Sir

I received a few days ago a letter from Mr. E. Nash, and he enclosed a letter from you also, requesting "the teachers to write you a letter about the schools" I was quite discouraged last month but have no reason to be this I got the repairs done and commenced school in Nov, and had a very small school hardly worth looking after, yet I worked on, hoping it would be better as it was so large last summer, but Dec came and went without much improvement I opened again after the holidays and the children found in I have now all I want too do, I have 68 on roll and have had an average attendance of 49, I found out the reason of their not coming before, on account of not getting shoes so, until the crops was all put away and a part disposed of, or come wood cut to get money
