Stanton, Va. Jun. 30. 1869

Rev. R. M. Manly.
Supt of Education.

Dear Sir:-

Your report & letters all came duly to hand, & were in every respect satisfactory. I was then in the midst of my preparations for our annual meeting, & could not break off. Besides, I had drawn all the money from the Bank that was then subject to my order; & was consequently obliged to wait for a new deposit by our treasurer. I am happy to learn that our system of rendering aid works so well.
