Richmond, Virginia.

Schools under the auspices of this Assoc'n. have recently been established at Charlotte C.H. Va. and at Scott's Farm, a neighboring place. At Charlotte C.H. the teacher, Fanny C. Pegram is obliged to pay $5 per mo. for rent of the school house from the money furnished by the Freed people for her board, beside other expenses of fuel & light. She has I believe applied to thee for assistance in this matter and the Com. on Instruction respectfully recommend her application to thy attention — they also request that some allowance may be made to her from the Peabody Fun, as she has a large school, seems to be an efficient teacher and has received little from the colored people toward the liquidation

[] They have appointed to meet some one at Charlotte C.H. on the evening of the 19th. []
