Chap R.M. Manly:
Richmond Va.

Dear Sir: We have in our Normal School several young ladies and one or two young men, well fitted to teach in Dis, where there have been no schools. Suppose I set some of them to teaching in such places as Port Republic Va. & Marionsburg Va.; what can you do for them through Bureau and Dr. Sears or in any other way? There are four whom I would not fear to trust in almost any place.

I received your note with the $10.00. Please send me vouchers and blanks for reports.

Very truly yours
N C Brackett.

P.S. Two of them would like to commence in April, others not till June N.C.B.
