Chap R. M. Manly;

I think we can obtain a house at Port Republic - at a moderate rent. It is my impression that there are forty or more pupils - some of the people have [[past be?]] several times in the past been to see me I have also had several letters in reference to it - If I can get about fifteen dollars per month, help, I think I can start a good school - We have two young men and two young women here, all of whom have taught and who are tolerably well qualified to teach. The Society is completely drained, and in debt - I see no house for it to do anything this Summer
Very Truly yours
