I just received your blanks to day which is under date May the 4th. I do not have to pay any rent for the room in which I ocupy for rent is paid by the Bureau, But I would like very much to have some aid for myself if it could be possibly procured for me.  I have been labouring faithfully and deligently to do all the good I could by teaching & instructing my race which I belong & have not been hardley able to live as for I have not had thirty dollars in money [[strikethrough]] for 12 mos[[//strikethrough]] in 12 month & I am not able to do labour as other men do becaus of my [[strikethrough]] ss [[//strikethrough]] sholder which is broke
