We cannot purchase the two last-named articles here [[strikethrough]] for some reason or another [[/strikethrough]]. Also would like some 2nd and 3rd Readers if they can be spared. I state our actual wants. Can get along with what you may think proper to send. Please transmit Bill of same, especially crayons and pencils that I may remit payment for such articles as are purchased by you.

If you deem it advisable we would be glad to have you write to the Commission relative to the school here. as I would prefer to teach in a higher grade of schools than the one we are now engaged in. The Commission wrote to Mrs. B. desiring to know our calculations for the year to come, intimating that they should continue their efforts for one year at least. The prospect is that we shall teach somewhere and if circumstances admit would desire to remain in some larger place (in Virginia) than this.
Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant
