Lynchburg June 10th 1869

Gentlemen

Sir I write to you for information.  I saw Mr. R.M. Manley and I were telling him that my school does not want any vacation.  I should like to know if i continue during vacation can I get pay for it or not.  Mr. Manly told me to write to that affect to you and he had no doubt that of my money would continue to come my school are geting along very fast I have about 44 schollars with avage attence of 34 Regular + Sunday over 50 with of labours and and about 25 of my scholars making 75 with one assistance teacher
