I intend to buy 4 or 5000 acres there for the freedmen you speak of books I suppose they can be bought here much cheaper here than out there but if I buy so much land I shall have no money to give for books I do not know as I can beg any 1000nds of rich men are cursed with their riches because they will not help the poor and needy my income is a little over 5000 per year except what I need for my family goes to the poor and some of the principal one 19 months
