Mr. R. L. Manly,
Dear Sir,
As Mr. Coliver wishes me to write you I will do so - He has given his school a vacation just now as the people would like one - but he is ready & willing to commence one whenever it is best. Gen. Thomas employed him and gave him $10.00 a month. The rent of the house where he taught was $15.00 a month. Mr Percival had $5.00 of the money & Mr. C. now wishes to know if he can still draw that $10.00 a month. Gen L. made the arrangement with Mr. P. that he Mr. C. should have that am't each month - and Mr. Colover did not know but he would be entitled to the salary during vacation.
