No people is more in need of a good school house than these, and in regard to their aptness to learn, none is more worthy, A portion of the lot on which the meetinghouse is erected, will be given on which to raise a school house, at anytime the Bureau may require it.

Captain, may we, through you and the Bureau, hope to, and obtain a school house?

Please do all you can possibly do in this matter. Very few of my scholars can read, well enough to (or, rather none of them can) study Geography, and Arithmetic, but I teach them, both, mentally.

I shall be very thankful to you for a letter soon.

Respectfully yours
A. M. Newman.
