things were going, but the information or rather hands were as know, that I am quite in the dark in the matter. I have not yet heard from Florida, therefore am yet undecided as to that movement. I think now however, that I shall go there if the way is clear. Will you give me a "chanader" so that I may have or to see if called upon? I shall be very grateful for such kindness. You can at least say that I stay just when I am put; can you not? And I believe I always obey orders of "emphasis officers". 
I hear Mr. Spencer has lost his wife. Poor man, how unfortunate he is! I am sorry for him.
