Rev S Manly

Dear Sir

I sign & return the vouchers for this month, but have no report to make, as I have not been teaching. I have been quite unwell & could not continue school. Though for fear of not being able to get the room when I want it, I am compelled to rent [[strikethrough]] the room [[/strikethrough]] it, you know that a room for a col'd School is hard to get & I know of none better suited to the purpose than the one that I have therefore it is necessary to rent in order to retain it (thankful for any assistance in this my time of need.) I am glad to say that, by the aid of religious and benevolent individuals and associations much good has been done in this part of the Country & greater achievements [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] already attained than could have been expected. The report of the Pa Association is very encouraging and I am proud to know that the school System will continue. hoping to merit your assistance I remain your humble serv't
