Societies
Besides the country schools you mention, we have half-promised to pay the salaries of two colored teachers at or near, Lawrenceville, always with the same conditions as to board. Miss Bacon is also to go back to Marion, where the people have done splendidly & we offered (or shall offer) to continue our aid to Mr. Murdock, provided he will make the people pay as much as we give him. Whenever you hear of new places (in the country) for the teachers, please let me know with as definite an account of circumstances as possible. I am sorry that I shall not see you but I shall be away from home at both the dates you mention.
