Fairfield Sept 14 69
Mr Manly
Dear Sir
In answer to your communication of Sept 8th I would say there has been no regular P.O. here since the war, no one capable of keeping P.O. being able to take the Oath. The letters are left at Heathville and Mr Don forwards them to me, or else they are brought down by private parties. Directed either to Heathville, Lottsburg or Fairfield they arrive safely. It might perhaps be safer to send a money letter to Heathville or Lottsburg.
